Dive in! Alan's 70th Birthday Cake

This cake was made for a man who loves to swim...celebrating his 70th birthday with a family get together and this 8inch fruit cake, I kept this design quite simple as I didn't have much to go on, only that he liked to swim....but I did think of tons of other pool designs as I was making this one!

I made a little icing ladder and hand painted it silver with edible lustre dust

I splashed on some leaf glaze to make the fondant towel look wet in places, it doesn't show up that good in this photo but you get the idea :)
