'Sweet Little Girls' Birthday Cake

This 'sweet little girls' cake was made over the weekend for a 3rd birthday party in Warwick.

All of the decorations I hand made from fondant icing so everything was edible including the glitter on the butterflies.

These little flowers were made with a small star cookie cutter, with the little girls I made thier bodies first and then attached the arms and legs and put the head and hair on last.

The faces were kept very simple with a small dot of black food colouring for the eyes and a little pink petal dust for the rouge on the cheeks.

I really liked this little foot up in the air :)  Inside this one was butter cake with vanilla icing.

Happy Birthday Haylee!

'Out of the box' Baby Shower Cake

This cake was my favourite for the week, a little bit different and no pink or blue in sight by request. I was sent this picture to use as inspiration.

This funny little bald head peeking out of the icing blanket, I dusted the cheeks and hands with rose coloured petal dust....

topped off with a stripey lid and polka dot fondant bow.

This cake was off to Brisbane to shower some happiness...

Inside...chocolate, mmm delicious chocolate :)

Thanks Bronwyn and Caitlin for choosing such a fun design!

Stacked Gift Box Cake {Kiah's 16th Birthday}

This two tiered 'gift box' cake was created over the weekend as a surprise for one lucky sixteen year old!

Inside were double layer chocolate mud cake and a double layer vanilla cream butter cake. The fondant balls around the bottom were so time consuming, each one hand rolled for a more funky sort of finish!

I also made these wired hearts which were to go in the top of the cake, as this one was travelling all the way to Tweed I left them off to be assembled on arrival.

The huge bow on top I made a little bit thicker than usual as I was worried it might crack during transit...

...it all arrived safely and in one piece!

I used pink & white love heart ribbon to trim the board... and I added a birthday message after I took these photos as I was running out of daylight fast and really wanted to snap my usual excessive amount of shots ;)
'Happy 16th Birthday' Kiah!!

21st Birthday Cupcake Tower {Samantha}

Over the weekend I created some cupcakes for a 21st birthday celebration in Toowoomba.  These were large butter flavoured cupcakes with generous swirls of vanilla icing.

The personalised banners were hand stamped, cut and shaped from purple fondant.

I also used purple fondant for the little five petel flowers...

and for the numbers, white fondant dipped with silver edible glitter {also called rainbow or disco dust if your looking to buy some} these were so sparkly and pretty!

I also used some more glittery goodness on these purple icing swirls, hard to see in these pictures I know!

Displayed on my four tiered clear perspex stand and hopefully enjoyed by the guest of honour :)
Happy 21st Birthday Samantha!
